1. Use of Stripe

All payments on Mobilife are securely processed through Stripe, which handles transactions using industry-standard encryption and compliance measures. Stripe enables users to pay using major credit and debit cards and allows for reliable and timely payouts to property partners.

2. Setting Up Your Payment Method

To book a property, you must first add a valid credit or debit card to your Mobilife account. This can be done through your account settings or during the booking process. Stripe will securely store your card details to enable ongoing weekly payments for the duration of your stay.

We recommend using a card with international payment capability to avoid any interruptions.

3. How We Receive Your Payment

When you make a booking request, the first two week’s rent and other fees are preauthorised immediately upon your request. Partner’s acceptance for the booking request confirms your reservation and the preauthorisation continues until closer to your scheduled move-in date. As of move-in, the preauthorised amount is captured and transferred to the property partner after 48 hours.

Subsequent rent payments are automatically charged weekly using the same payment method.

4. Weekly Payouts to Partners

Once your rent payment is successfully processed each week, Mobilife confirms the receipt and initiates payout to the partner on a weekly basis. This means your rent is forwarded to the partner according to their payout schedule, ensuring transparency and reliability for both parties.

Please ensure your card remains active and has sufficient balance throughout your stay to avoid payment failure.

5. Security Deposit

As part of your booking, a security deposit is held on your card through Stripe using preauthorisation. This means the security deposit amount is temporarily held (but not charged) to ensure coverage for any potential damages or breaches of the rental terms.

  • This deposit is not transferred to the partner unless a valid damage claim is approved.
  • If no issues are reported, the preauthorisation hold is released automatically after the rental period ends.
